Electromechanical Engineer
Title: Electromechanical Engineer Location: California-San Diego An entry level engineering position involving manufacturing and design of component assemblies for shipboard control and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: · Designs, develops and tests mechanical components and assemblies, such as consoles, enclosures and other electronic control units. · Review of basic electrical and electronic wiring diagrams and schematics · Assists with manufacturing, design and certification of new products · Vibration and structural analysis · Thermal load calculation and analysis · Prototype fabrication, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical system products. · Performs a variety of tasks. · Works under general supervision.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · Well organized and ability to support multiple projects/assignments. · Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD Electrical tools · Documentation control and configuration management processes, including BOM's and ECN's · Experience in mechanical design and modeling including machined electronic assembly housings and sheet metal housing · Knowledge and background in the use of ANSI, IEC, CE standards · Knowledgeable in cabling, interconnectivity and electronics packaging · Understands different manufacturing techniques and processes to achieve high quality products · Knowledge in MS Office tools
· Entry level position, requiring bachelors degree in mechanical or industrial engineering (BSME or BSET). · 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
