Engine & Control Systems (E&CS) provides complete jet engine controls and accessory packages. From the fuel tank to the igniters, we have the resources and expertise to design, qualify, and manufacture first in class central systems for our aerospace engine customers.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The project engineer will lead an Integrated Product Development (IPD) team responsible for all design, development, qualification, and fabrication activities associated with electronics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will work with Engineering leadership and the F119 Program Office to execute the following:
- Conduct risk assessments in accordance with the Program Management System Standard, complete with detailed mitigation plans including funding and staffing impacts
- Coordinate detailed plans for assigned projects which are executable, with measurable milestones consistent with the Program objectives
- Lead RCCA investigations for assigned F119/F100 Controls components
- Support ground test & flight test engine technical issues associated with assigned components
- Support Production Readiness and Passport processes
- Provide staffing plans through the use of TIGER, including detailed plans through all disciplines and an outsourcing plan, also by discipline, which meet project milestones and budget

- 5+ years Project or Program Management experiences, preferably in a fast-paced aerospace environment
- Experience working resource plans necessary for successful program operation required
- Experience leading field investigations
- Experience leading root cause investigation teams
- Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts and products is required
- Experience managing a program utilizing an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) is required
- Experience working and leading Integrated Product Development (IPD) teams required
- Experience in the Development to Production product life cycle preferred
- Basic working knowledge of control systems is highly desirable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary along with the ability to work in a team environment
- Experience with manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project & Excel
- Knowledge of Pratt & Whitney Teamcenter a plus
