We are currently seeking anElectrical Project Engineerfor our location inCamanche, IA. This engineer will provide electrical engineering services to increase capacity and improve the efficiency of the steel making and processing operations in all engineering aspects of plant capital projects, plant facilities and plant maintenance. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assisting in the development of project scope * Developing project submittal (budget estimate with back-up and schedule) and executing project (reviewing contractor bids and contracts, and tracking physical and budget progress) * Tracking and monitoring project objectives, cost, timelines and deliverables * Preparing and issuing all relevant documentation * Conducting contractor and project meetings * Reporting status of current projects on a weekly basis * Providing technical input and recommendations when requested by maintenance, operations or staff departments * Developing and designing equipment standards as needed * Supporting annual plant outage planning and execution * Assisting process engineers in the development of projects related to process improvement * Performing other duties as required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Requires a Bachelor?s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; an advanced degree is highly preferred * Must possess a minimum of 2 years project management experience in heavy manufacturing industry; 3 -10 years experience in project engineering management is a plus * Proven and demonstrable project management skills * Strong computer skills * Good interpersonal skills that support effective communication * Ability to work with cross functional teams We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including medical and dental benefits starting on your first day of employment.
