Electrical Project Engineer - Brunswick, GA
Role: * Responsible for electrical and control aspects of project execution at the facility. * Works closely with other project managers, process control engineers, maintenance E&I, and outside contractors to execute successful projects on time and on budget. * Mill SME for Power Distribution & Process Controls Systems and Electrical and Instrumentation Specifications. Responsibilities/ Expectations: * Support mill compliance with laws and regulations by ensuring 10,000% compliance in design & implementation of projects at the facility * Drive safety in design culture for all improvement projects. * Ensure employee and contractor compliance with mill safety policies. * Support manufacturing and maintenance activities with engineering. principals, expertise, and leadership in solving and improving the processes and procedures in the facility. * Work with Operations and Maintenance to identify new potential projects and develop capital funding requests. * Work with purchasing to obtain bids and conduct value analysis, as well as cost estimates and budgets. Initiates purchase requisitions or contracts for equipment, labor and materials. * Manage projects requiring coordination between outside consultants, contractors, and mill personnel. * Assist in checkout and start-up activities, conducts post-completion audits of capital and repair projects. * Understand and practice MBM through daily work and management of projects. Basic Qualification: * BS in Electrical Engineering required. * 3 years of experience in electrical project management and/or related work experience required. Preferred Qualification: * Knowledge of high voltage systems, Honeywell DCS systems, Allen Bradley Drives, PLC's. We are an equal opportunity employer. M/F/D/V
