Project Parsons is providing Tinker Air Force Base with facility assessment and services as part its Capital Improvements Program. We are helping Tinker Air Force Base by evaluating existing facilities, identifying needs, developing and evaluating alternatives, and preparing future development plans.
Need
Parsons is seeking a licensed electrical engineering technician to conduct inspections and evaluate electrical systems. The successful candidate will identify electrical problems through the use of thermal imaging, recommend replacement of deteriorating electrical systems or equipment, and help develop the electrical system maintenance program and 5-year plan. Specific knowledge of emergency generators, cathodic protection, airfield lighting and aircraft arrestors will be helpful. Having broad experience with low to high voltage systems, transformers, power distribution systems, lighting, grounding, AC and DC motors and drives, motor control centers, relays, pumps, motors, chillers, and HVAC equipment will be key to your success.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of electrical technician troubleshooting experience preferably with airport facilities or military bases * Demonstrated expertise in electrical systems and equipment, maintenance program planning and electrical safety practices * Thorough knowledge of relevant electrical codes (NEC, NFPA and IEEE), thermal imaging, testing methods * CAD and other PC software packages such as MS Office * Licensed electrical technician * Proof of US Citizenship or permanent residency, ability to pass a background check, and a valid drivers license
