Job Description:

PRIMARY SUMMARY:

Sets up and operates electrical discharge machines to shape metal work pieces to specifications by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

. Examines blueprint of products and plans.

. Positions and secures work pieces on machine table.

. Sets up and operates surface grinder.

. Adjusts machine setting such as voltage, current, frequency, and electrode feed rate.

. Starts machine and observes beginning of operation.

. Re-adjusts machine controls as required.

. Inspects products to verify conformance to quality standards, by following blueprints or work instructions.

. Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.

. Record information such as the number of products tested, meter readings, and dates and times of product production.

. Mark or tag identification on parts.

. Load and unload items from production machines manually or by using hand tools.

. Keeps work area and equipment clean.

. Report any malfunctioning equipment to leads, or immediate supervisors.

. Follow all 5S department procedures which include but are not limited to; keeping floors clean of oil and debris, returning tools to proper locations, organize part pans, and performs other housekeeping duties.

. Attends all required job related training (internal and external).

. All employees are responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.

. All employees are responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.

. All employees are required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management's attention immediately.

. Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.

. Able to recognize cosmetic non-conformances based on Company specifications such as; burrs, galling, cracked edges, slug marks, dimensional changes in production parts and initiate action to prevent non-conformance such as stopping the machine and notifying Supervisor.

. Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a fastener industry.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract four digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's,100's, 1000's, 10,000's and 100,000's. Ability to perform these operations using units of US currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, licenses, registrations
Evidence of "US person" is required under ITAR.
