MacKay & Sposito, Inc., is seeking a MicroStation Drafter for it's Vancouver, WA consulting firm. It is the people that make this company what it is and we ensure the success of our clients by ensuring the success of our employees. This position would be working on transportation and utility projects, applicant must be experienced Microstation Drafter. This position would be responsible for developing surveyed basemaps in Microstation; receiving roughly calculated concepts from Land Surveyors and turning them into working documents. This position is responsible for understanding and completing drawings in accordance with client specifications. Duties/Responsibilities/Knowledge of: - Drafting of rights-of-way and/or existing street and utility corridor topography - Constructing dimensional relationships of one part to another and a relationship of various parts to entire project, utilizing knowledge of land surveying practices and mathematics - Creating a preliminary and/or final sketch of proposed drawing, using Microstation - Modifying drawings as directed by Surveyor -Be familiar with WSDOT and/or ODOT specifications - An Associate Degree in Design and Drafting Technology or similar degree preferred - Strong working knowledge of Microstation software, AutoCAD a plus - 3-7 years prior experience preferred in land surveying and mapping industry preferred - Strong work ethic with desire to work in a team oriented, high production environment We believe our employees are our best assets.
