Alliance Steel, Inc is looking for experienced drafters to join our engineering team. Founded in 1971, Alliance Steel, Inc. has grown to be a premier manufacturer of metal buildings and related components.Alliance Steel is, and will continue to be, on the leading edge of the metal building industry. We are committed to do whatever necessary to be the best of the best.
The Ideal candidate should be able to perform under limited supervision, as well perform drafting services using basic drafting skills, to include:
Board drawing and Autocad, for the production of steel building drawings.
Produce finished prints from rough drawings.
Make corrections to previously produced prints as necessary.
Check prints for accuracy.
Must be able to reason logically in the performance of routine and non-routine duties.
Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Skill in the use of Autocad in its latest revision.
Skill in board drawing.
Ability to read and understand both written and oral instructions.
Must be able to perform all basic math functions to include the addition and subtraction of fractions.
Ability to read a tape measure.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Graduate from an accredited drafting program.
At least one (1) year of drafting experience in a steel building environment.
