Desired skills Prior experience with generation of drawings for FAA and Airport facilities is desirable. Experience with using In-Roads software would be a plus.
Minimum of eight years drafting experience using both Micro-station and Auto-Cad in the development of civil, mechanical, structural and electrical drawings. Specific Job Description Performs as an Architectural Drafter IV supporting the TSSC III Program in the Eastern region. Develops moderately difficult to difficult working drawings utilizing Micro-station V8 from equipments specifications and detailed drawings, ensuring that they meet company, FAA and Industry Standards and Codes. The drafter will work closely with the civil, structural mechanical and electrical design team members while preparing drawings, for fabrication, installation or construction.
The drafter will perform dimensional and routine design calculations. He/she will work from calculations with minimal sketches and instructions. Checks drawings prepared by less experienced personnel for accuracy and adequacy. May coordinate with supplier and subcontractor drawings.
Duties will include interfacing with the FAA Configuration Management System, called "Projectwise". As Drafter IV the candidate will be responsible for providing accurate estimate on hours to complete an assignment and adhering to it.
This position requires a security background check by the Federal Aviation Administration. No travel or overtime required.
