Description Business Unit: E-Z-GO Job Summary: This position is responsible for quoting, designing parts and assemblies to create custom vehicles and accessories based on customer’s requirements. Must have design experience in mechanical, sheet metal, electrical and fluid systems. Function will include researching and purchasing of all materials and components required to build custom vehicles. Responsibilities to include: • Design and manufacture custom products using Siemens Unigraphics NX software. • Prepare sketches and drawings required to convey requirements to the shop floor. • Layout and animate assemblies to assure clearances and function using Siemens Unigraphics NX software. • Estimate time and material costs for preparation of quotes for custom vehicles and accessories based on customers' input. • Confers with customers and dealers to clarify requirements. • Researches and orders specialized components required for customizations. • Assist with parts fabrication and assembly when necessary. • Demonstrates and maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with current organization practices. • Create flat patterns of sheet metal parts and create laser\water-jet programs. • Work with manufacturing departments to utilize equipment and materials. • Basic accounting and customer rapport required on a daily basis. Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering Technology preferred Associates Degree in Engineering Technology preferred Siemens Unigraphics NX training in solid modeling, assembly, and drafting applications. Position requirements: • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and fluid systems. • Working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and welding. • A minimum of 3 years work experience in related industry. • Familiarity with current E-Z-GO and Cushman vehicles preferred. • Solid modeling and CAD drawing using Unigraphics NX software. • Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter software preferred • Familiarity with GD&T and ANSI drafting standards preferred
