Minimum Requirements: . Associate's degree or completion of technical trade school courses, or equivalent experience. . Minimum six years of relevant structural, civil, or similar drafting or design experience. . Alaska Residency at the time of hire. . Alaska Driver's License and driver in good standing. . Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Must have a positive and professional attitude. . Must be organized, team player, critical thinker, and self-motivator. . Advanced technical knowledge of drafting techniques and training in AutoCAD and spreadsheet software. . Autodesk Revit experience is desired. . Intermediate understanding within a specific discipline. . Understanding of vendor documents and uses them as a reference for assigned tasks. . Basic knowledge of the use of requisitions and the role of materials management. . Basic knowledge of the process of performing material take-offs for the discipline. . Basic understanding of the discipline's equipment and material lists. . Must be able to work flexible hours (normal business hours and after hours to meet deadlines). Job Description: . Under general direction, provides advanced drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining CAD models, engineering drawings and maps. . Prepares designs and estimates from general instruction and/or preliminary sketches, diagrams or schematics. . May recommend modifications and changes for design improvement and simplification. . Produces complex technical drawings. . Prepares working drawings from conceptual layout to detailed finished product. . Coordinates computer aided drafting projects with other discipline personnel. .
