Title: Domain Expert Oil and Gas Location: TX-Houston Optimized Systems and Solutions (OSyS) is a technology based information Management Company. We supply predictive services to help reduce the long term operating costs of high value equipment. Core services include engineering disciplines such as condition monitoring, fleet forecasting, reliability analysis, and compliance assurance provided on a "managed services" basis through web based architecture. Core markets are civil aviation, energy, marine and defense.
A high profile and challenging position is offered to support the growing Engineering organisation. The Engineering team has responsibilities across all markets that OSyS addresses, supporting sales and marketing, product development, service implementation and delivery tasks. The primary role of this post is to represent the Organization as Domain Expert. With extensive experience in the industry the successful candidate will identify and expand opportunities and solutions in the Oil and Gas markets; enabling the team to win and deliver new business to a range of global customers.
Key Accountabilities include: * Represent the Organization and provide leadership as Domain Expert O&G * Support the sales organisation and engineering function to identify and develop opportunities * Provide input into the solution design process and continuous improvement activities * Support the successful delivery of projects providing guidance and practical help to multidisciplinary teams across the globe * Represent OSyS in the relevant communities and develop an industry network of contacts for the benefit of OSyS * Share knowledge and coach other engineering colleagues * Develop and deliver presentations to industry trade associations and in other similar forums * Support sales as a technical consultant * Assist with identifying training needs
Basic: * Bachelors degree in Engineering with 10 years direct experience in Oil and Gas preferably upstream, working for / involved with a number of high profile organizations and projects * Ability to travel, both domestic and international Preferred: * Experience managing assets in the Oil and Gas sector * Knowledge of process plant operation, maintenance and reliability of critical rotating equipment * Experience in the design and application of condition monitoring techniques e.g., performance analysis, vibration analysis, tribology, oil analysis * Qualified RCM facilitator * Experience in reliability-centred maintenance (RCM), risk-based inspections (RBI), strategic planning and /or systems engineering would be advantageous * Leadership qualities, persuasion skills and example setting for junior colleagues * Self motivated, goal driven, be articulate and approachable * Ability to become established rapidly as the recognised expert and change agent within OSyS to front integrated project teams and develop/transfer knowledge
