Designer
The Designer will work with assigned development team members to support the CAD development of customized cranial implants through the segmenting of patient CT Scans and the modeling and detailing of designs. He or She will also develop / maintain expertise in Mimics/3-Matic design software. • Interfacing with team members to gather input for designs. • Modeling and detailing of customized cranial implant designs utilizing the Mimics/3-Matic software. • Preparation of design review documentation and implant design proposals for individual patient cases.
Qualifications/Work Experience
• 2 years of product design experience in the medical device industry or equivalent. • Proficient in a parametric CAD design package. Experience with surface modeling preferred. • Experience with design for injection molding preferred. • Familiarity with design controls within a regulated industry helpful. • Candidates should require average direction and supervision; should have a hands-on approach.
Education and/or Special Training
Associates degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience. Engineering Technology preferred.
