Title: Designer II
Location: OH-Mount Vernon
The Designer II position will be part of the Product Engineering Team reporting to the Packaging Chief Engineer. This position will also support the Product Engineering Team in maintaining the product baselines and creating standard options.
Responsibilities:
* Gather information, prepare original layouts, P&ID's and sketches
* Have an intimate knowledge of the Product Baselines and how they can be easily updated
* Utilize Unigraphics NX2 revision or higher software
* Create, file, archive original and revisions of product drawings in conjunction with current drafting processes and procedures
* Embrace a team environment and ensure efficient communication that involves all relevant stakeholders at the appropriate phases of the project
Basic:
* 1 years experience with Unigraphics, Team Center and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
* Good understanding and application of appropriate Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
* Experience with: Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel
* Experience with drawings and diagrams, gas generators, power turbines, unit control panels, compressors and package support systems
Preferred:
* Experience with Rolls-Royce package in 2D/3D CAD modeling and detailing complex geometry for use in design layoutsExperience with Rolls-Royce Standard Drafting manual and responsible to ensure compliance with all Rolls-Royce engineering/graphics standards and procedures
* Solution and customer satisfaction oriented
* Self-starter / self motivated with the ability to work independently toward team oriented goals
* Experience with customer, civil, and sub-suppliers drawings
* A Technical Associate's degree (Design / Drafting)
* Creativity and attention to detail
