Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Make quick, minor corrections and improvements in almost all aspects of aircraft design (primarily structural, but also including flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, and electrical installations). Use CATIA V4 and V5 and mainframe database to make minor changes to engineering drawings and parts lists on all current production Cessna aircraft. In time, this person will also be trained in repair definition for aircraft and aircraft parts in production (liaison or MRB engineering). Emphasis will be repair on riveted aluminum structure, but may include metal bond, composites, part fabrication, and/or systems function.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required. Minimum of 2 years engineering experience. Minimum of 1 year aircraft design experience, either structural or systems. CATIA v4 or v5 experience preferred. Experience in MRB engineering is desirable, but not required. Must be able to communicate well in English in both writing and verbally. Must be proficient at MS Office. Must be able to travel to U.S. for 3 month minimum initial training. Later travel will be required. Familiarity with aerospace sheet metal design and manufacturing is desirable. Must be self-motivated and have good organization skills.
HARDWARE/SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: Software: CATIA v4, CATIA v5, PIOS, EEDS, MS Office. May use SAP later. Hardware: Intelli-Station A-Pro, RS6000-285 with Magellan/space ball.
