We are currently searching for a Design Engineer III for our Semiconductor market. This individual will be responsible for designing and analyzing mechanical systems, equipment, components, and packaging. In addition, the Design Engineer III conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Finally, he/she will direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. Join the team and work with account teams to manage and execute Greene, Tweed’s strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes. Create and present technical and non-technical materials to internal and external customers.
Establish the reputation as a technical expert on our customers’ etch, deposition, and thermal systems.
Define methods and apply new technologies to characterize IIM solutions’ effects on in-chamber and on-wafer performance, and/or perform IIM hardware characterization on complex systems for multiple products.
Create and execute DOE’s on in-chamber and on-wafer effects of our IIM portfolio materials and products.
Design, perform, collect data, analyze and compile reports on complex process engineering experiments for multiple products.
Train less experienced engineers, implement new methodologies, apply new technologies, and/or troubleshoot, perform Root Cause Analysis, and resolve complex process engineering issues for multiple products.
Generate internal and external documentation for IIM products, presentations, and technical reports, and generate process engineering specifications.
Actively participate on Strategic Account Teams, attending team meetings, collaborating with and developing relationships with customers, providing onsite support through growth of lateral and vertical contact chains.
Utilize experience to provide technical support and to mentor the engineering organization regarding semiconductor processes, hardware design, DOE’s, next generation technology nodes, and the overall business environment.
Provide technical assistance to manufacturing and Supply Chain and/or vendors in support of our products to ensure that the customers receive high-quality, consistent products that meet the required specifications.
Participate in initiatives as required to support company Strategies and Goals
Requirements:
Required Skills:
Minimum B.S. in Engineering discipline
Minimum 7 years experience designing semiconductor process systems, assemblies, sub-assemblies, or components.
In-depth knowledge of materials (metals, plastics, ceramics, etc.).
Special Skills or Characteristics Required:
Ability to motivate, manage (thru influence and project manage skills) and train professional personnel.
Good communication skills for interface with internal and external contacts.
Creativity and flexibility to handle all aspects of engineering for the business group.
