Job Type :Temp - Part Time Career Level :Experienced (Non-Manager) Education :Vocational Category :Manufacturing and Production Job Description : OVERVIEWResponsible for creating all engineering drawings to meet ASME Code and customer requirements and maintaining drawing revision levels and databases. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:· Designs and creates assembly drawings, detail part drawings and bills of material to meet special inquiry and order requirements for non-standard products.· Maintains existing product record drawings for standard product designs in accordance with current design practices.· Develops product record drawings and bills of material for new products from data provided by engineers.· Responsible for preparation and submittal of drawings to customers (through Sales) for special orders. Also responsible for obtaining approval of these drawings and distributing them to Production Control.· Maintains product record drawings for standard products and distributes original and revised copies to the Purchasing, Production and Inspection departments.· Responsible for filing of all drawings, bills of material and related documents (both manual and computer generated). Responsible for the maintenance of both the print and laminating machines and for ordering the necessary supplies.· Other duties as assigned Job Requirements : COMPETENCIES:· Extensive knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD products (Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD preferred)· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products· Very organized· Detail oriented· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:· Technical School Graduate with emphasis on Computer Aided Drafting (Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD preferred)· At least 5 years experience in design of mechanical components.
