Deputy Program Manager


In close coordination with the Program Manager, the Deputy Program Manager directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for assisting the Program Manager with the cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract. As directed by the Program Manager, serves as the customer contact for program activities to include leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Assists in the development of new business or expands the product line with customers. Coordinates milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules; identifies and advises the Program Manager of program problems; and recommends solutions such as the allocation of resources or changes to contractual specifications. Provides leadership, guidance, and career development to all employees. May serve as the program's designee in Step Grievance matters. Ensures adherence to Northrop Grumman and NGTS Human Resource policies.


Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, business, public administration, or related field; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Exposure to Program/Project management issues with multiple disciplinary functions involving logistical support to provide equipment and materials plus services to permanent installation commands and units conducting training.
• 5 years experience managing large logistical operations, supply, transportation, distribution, and maintenance functions.
• Experience managing task order programs, cultivating customer relationships, develooping and maintaining program performance metrics, and working as a member of a business development team.
• Must be a United States Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in engineering, business, public administration, or related field
