DATABASE SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
The Database Systems Administrator is responsible for planning, evaluating, acquiring, developing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting data management and software processes, methods, and tools. They provide technical leadership for the enterprise's computer infrastructure. Responsibilities include Install, test, maintain, document, and provide technical support for application, system, storage and database software on enterprise servers and workstations. Perform software and hardware product planning, evaluation and testing on new and existing applications. Design, install, and maintain the enterprise backup of all non mainframe data storage. Design, install, and maintain the Storage Area Network fabric, disk arrays, and virtualization for all non mainframe data storage. Manage the Disaster Recovery Hot Site contract and coordinate DR tests. Design, install, and maintain all AIX servers. Design, install, and maintain the DB2 LUW and DB2 z OS database management systems.
Requirements:
4 year / Bachelor's Degree: BS or BA in Computer Science or Information Systems (Required)
Master's Degree Information Systems (Preferred)
7+ Years Database administration experience on multiple OS platforms using multiple DB Management systems. (Required)
4-5 Years Storage Array Network experience with multiple OS platforms. (Preferred)
