ETL & Business Intelligence Manager?s Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
In collaboration with the Business Leaders, IT-Data Warehouse Director, Managers, and Tech Leads, establish a vision for the ETL, reporting, analytical, and business intelligence infrastructure for the Enterprise.
Provide leadership, management and guidance to a team of BI and ETL Developers focused on Data Warehouse/BI Deliverables.
Provide strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Ensure that the skill set of the Data Warehouse Development team is best-in-class through recruitment and ongoing education.
Constantly look for opportunities to improve the quality of DW/BI applications and processes.
Plan and conduct visioning sessions with business constituents to define metrics, data and reporting requirements.
Develop plans to meet short and long-term objectives, monitoring and ensuring quality results.
Resolve conflicts and barriers as they arise and take proactive steps to ensure organizational alignment, cohesion and support.
Escalate issues related to project outcomes to senior management as needed along with insight on recommended resolutions.
Understand the current data warehouse environment and ETL processes that will be used to implement the business transformation solutions. This is done through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of applicable business processes, systems, enterprise goals and business requirements.
Bachelors Degree in a related field and Minimum of ten years of IT experience, five years of Data Warehousing and three years in a leadership role with strong hands-on capabilities to drive out best practices, design patterns, strategy and ensure complex DW delivery across a matrix of service providers namely BI Developers, ETL Developers, Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Customers, Data Quality analysts, Administrators, Architects, Testers, Release Management and Production Support.
