Data Acquisition and Control System Engineer
This position is responsible for supporting the Data Acquisition and controls Supervisor with cell support, instrumentation, setup and calibration, day-to-day troubleshooting, and office clerical work.
Responsible for cell instrumentation setup, wiring, debugging, application/test programming & final calibration/commissioning. Aid in the development of new control methods and documentation.
An understanding of automotive & computer technology is essential. (VB, C, Forth, CAD Hypercell application programming preferred)
Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, VB, Access etc.) with the ability and initiative to learn new programs.
Assists in programming test cycles and development of new control methods.
Provides support for on-call technical help.
Employee will comply with all Johnson Matthey Hazardous Waste procedures and local, state and federal regulatory requirements, and exhibit strong work ethic, and willingness to take on projects that are outside of this scope.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree with 3-5 years of related experience, or 7-10 years of relevant experience is a must have.
Must have a strong electrical or electronic background
Some computer programming education and background
Must be able to layout and wire electrical circuits and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
Various instrumentation knowledge.
Dyno testing experiences a plus.
