Specific Job Description Critical thinking has been widely recognized in the Intelligence Community as one of the key skills that analysts require in order to produce reasoned, mission directed analytical results. Critical thinking skills transform information into intelligence.
A Critical Thinking Instructor plans, develops and conducts critical thinking course. Subject matter expert on the thinking process, how to identify and mitigate some inherent flaws in our thinking, foundational standards for analysis and evaluation, reflective thinking, systemic questioning, critical reading, and writing. Conducts cross-training with other intelligence courses, to include Counterterrorism Analysis, ArcGIS, Enhanced DCGS-A Operations Course, and various databases within the intelligence community. Conducts resident courses on site and travels on mobile training teams (MTTs) to conduct training to pre-deploying units. Develops course content, evaluates students and maintains current training to our primary customer, INSCOM, and US Army intelligence analysts worldwide.
This position requires TDY up to 50% of the time. Standard Job Description Develops new courses and/or conducts formal professional training for customers, and/or in-house customer engineers, and/or OEM (original equipment manufacturers) customer engineers in all facets of computer hardware and software technology. This may include concepts and operation of the software and equipment, necessary programming, debugging, repairs and maintenance of data processing equipment. Determines course content and student learning objectives; prepares course syllabi, lesson plans, and student manuals. Evaluates training materials and procedures and makes or recommends revisions to keep courses abreast of software and equipment design. Maintains class records; writes, administers, and scores tests. Counsels students and evaluates student performance. Security Clearance TS/SCI Typical Minimums Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
