Chevron Business Real Estate Services is accepting online applications for the position ofCritical Systems Operations Coordinator located in Downtown Houston, Texas through February 6, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
* This position is responsible for the reliability of the Chevron Business Real Estate Services Critical Systems for the office facility in Houston, TX. This position responsibility includes: * Data center facility provided operations support.
* Operations and maintenance of all electrical systems.
* Emergency/standby generators.
* UPS systems.
* Fire Alarm and Detection Systems and Security Access and monitoring hardware equipment. Also includes:
* Electrical Services Contract owner.
* Energy Monitoring and reporting.
* Critical systems and electrical projects representative and local utility provider contact.
* Additional duties include providing support for other Chevron Business Real Estate Services managed east coast facilities and handling special projects as needed. Key Job Responsibilities (essential position functions):
* Chevron Business Real Estate Services liaison for all activities in support of critical operations.
* Tracks all electrical installation and removal work performed in the data center including Management of Change approvals and routing and follow-up of all data center service requests.
* Responsible for coordinating, approving and documenting all facility electrical installation and removal work including Management of Change approvals and routing and follow-up of all tenant electrical related service requests. * All electrical and mechanical preventive maintenance, repairs and testing performed on critical infrastructure equipment.
* Authorizes and reviews security access for all Chevron Business Real Estate Service contractors working in critical areas.
* Provides technical consulting support to tenant management on projects.
* Responsible for all site electrical processes including associated safety procedures, electrical PM scheduling, scripting and planning, and electrical generating equipment permits.
* Provide field contract management and electrical, mechanical, technical and operating counsel and guidance for electrical and mechanical Maintenance and Operations.
* Ensure quality of work and adherence to contract specifications.
* Stays abreast of current electrical and mechanical operations industry practices.
* Responsible for coordinating and documenting all electrical and mechanical preventive maintenance. Repairs and testing performed on data center infrastructure equipment;
* e.g. Power Distribution Units (PDU).
* Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRAC). * Electrical Switchgear.
* Transformers and Panel Boards.
* UPS Systems.
* Emergency Power Off (EPO) System.
* Fire Alarm and Detection Systems.
* Raised Floor System, etc. Responsible for coordinating and documenting all electrical and mechanical preventive maintenance, repairs and testing performed on;
* Facility buildings electrical equipment; * e.g. Switchgear.
* Transformers.
* Panel Boards.
* Lighting Control Systems.
* Emergency and Standby Power Generators. * Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) Systems, etc.
* Contract Owner for Electrical Services. * Electrical Testing and other equipment maintenance contracts.
* Assist with the development and updating of specifications for all contracts and service orders.
* Monitor and enforce service level agreements for contracted services in his/her area of responsibility.
* Performs periodic data center and facility safety observations and audits work being performed to ensure compliance with CBRES and data center guidelines.
* Tracks energy usage for Chevron Business Real Estate Service buildings and customer groups.
* Site contact with local utility providers regarding any chilled water, electrical and natural gas issues.
* Performs technical consulting support to data center management and on data center projects to ensure that data center meets current industry practices and standards.
* Performs technical consulting support to facility operations and on facility electrical projects to ensure that facility meets current industry practices and standards.
* Operations project representative on all critical and electrical projects. Act as Project Manager on small facility projects. Responsible for utilization of the CPDEP process on all site projects.
* Responsible to ensure all Critical Drawings (e.g. electrical one-lines) are updated and maintained.
* Monitors budgets and approves invoicing, time and material sheets, and processes invoices for payment.
* Develops and maintains standard operating procedures consistent with and in support of OE (Operational Excellence) operating and reporting requirements.
* Arranges for Above Base Building equipment maintenance and repairs and processes associated customer billing.
* Job requires off-hours, weekends, and holiday work.
Required Qualifications:
* Datacenter / Server-room infrastructure support experience.
* Electrical maintenance experience including scheduling, planning, and coordinating.
Relocation Options:
Relocation will not be considered.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
