Location: CA - San Diego Clearance Requirement: No Clearance Required
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Pricing Analyst will lead, develop, evaluate, and implement proposal pricing strategies, models, and proposal letters and pricing volumes based upon competitive market dynamics, request for proposal requirements, company policies, government regulations and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
. Read and analyze the Request for Proposal (RFP) to determine customer pricing requirements. . Support the development and implementation of pricing strategy to build a winning pricing proposal that incorporates financial objectives and is fully compliant with FAR/TINA, CAS, customer requirements and company policies and procedures. . Ensure that proposals meet the definition of an adequate proposal per FAR guidelines. . Create, update and control proposal pricing system and procedures including work breakdown structures (WBS), basis of estimate (BOE)s and labor and material historical data and metrics to be used as basis for comparison and/or creation of proposals. . Obtain and compile the detailed estimates (labor, Other Direct Costs (ODCs), material, subcontractors) for each proposal. . Coordinate with proposal manager & supply chain management to ensure compliance, proper documentation, and competitiveness on the bill of material. . Work directly with the Proposal Coordinator and proposal teams to ensure compliance with customer RFP and proposal submittal schedule requirements, and coordinate input to create, check and build pricing models utilizing MS Excel, and lead pricing reviews with management according to company procedures. . Additional duties include acting as the primary interface with DCAA to provide supporting data and justification during audit, and supporting the customer evaluation/fact-finding phase and negotiations while operating as the pricing lead.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: . A Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field is required with a minimum 6 years experience or 4 years of experience with a Masters degree. . Previous proposal pricing experience in a government contracting in a production manufacturing environment. . Highly motivated self starter with the ability to manage concurrent proposal assignments and function in time-sensitive situations with shifting requirements and priorities. . Excellent written and verbal communication skills. . Ability to work and interface with various levels of personnel across multiple departments in a team environment. . Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Excel and MS Word. . Position requires working some extended hours in support of proposal activities. . Knowledge of FAR/TINA & CAS.
