Construction Surveillance Technician
Join our throp Grumman Technical Services has several openings for a Construction Surveillance Technician. The following skills/responsibilities are applicable: A. Worked as a skilled craftsman in the construction industry for a minimum of four years; B. Be skilled in more than two of the following disciplines: Carpenter (rough in, finish), Electrician, Plumber, HVAC, Sheet Metal, Welding, Dry wall, Masonry; C. Supervisory responsibilities a plus; D. Must be a current US citizen; E. High school diploma or GED; F. Must be capable of achieving a TS/SCI level clearance G. Bi-lingual ability with the English and Spanish languages is a plus; H. Must attend and must pass a specified course sponsored by DOS in Springfield, VA for the Construction Surveillance Technician training. This course will consist of: 1) First responder medical support; 2) Chem/Bio/Radiological attack response; 3) Blueprint reading; 4) Technical espionage detection; 5) Construction site security; 6) Construction safety; 7) Counterintelligence awareness to preclude approaches by hostile intelligence services; 8) Operations Security awareness and support; 9) Note taking of events on the construction site during each day
Basic Qualifications: Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance. Must possess binocular vision correctable to 20/20 (Snellen) and close vision correctable to Saieger-No. 4 type test for both eyes. Be free of color blindness, Have normal fields of vision and good depth perception, be in good general health without conditions that would interfere with the performance of duties. Hearing aids are acceptable provided hearing is correctable to normal levels of hearing. Must be 18 years of age. Training is provided on the job. HS Diploma or equivalent is required. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation (work site not metro accessible)
