Computing Architect 4\5
Lead and/or support activities to define and evolve the enterprise information architecture across Boeing. Develop and/or support the deployment of the data and information management strategies and standards for Boeing information systems. Provide architecture direction and guidance to information and data related projects and initiatives: Analytics & Business intelligence, data warehousing, data archive and retrieval, master data management, etc. Ensure integration of data and information technical architecture with other enterprise architecture components. Lead and/or support technical reviews and support technology & supplier evaluations. Lead and/or support feasibility reviews of architecture solutions and alternatives and provide guidance and direction for data and information issues. Drafts data and information management products and service standards and coordinates enterprise consensus. Promote adoption and increase awareness of data and information product standards and best practices with IT architects and development teams. Support architecture compliance reviews and non-standard requests for deviations to standards. Ensure the strategic vision for data and information is relevant and incorporated into the overall Integrated Architecture Plan (IAP). This position requires experience working across the architecture and software development lifecycles, the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience ranging from technical practitioners, executives, and business architects.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 4 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study. Level 5 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Job related information
Must have experience using modeling tools (i.e. ERwin, ER/Studio, ARIS, ProVision) to translate business requirements into models (conceptual, logical or physical). Prefer experience using modeling tools to create models at the domain and/or enterprise level. Must have ability to work across the enterprise and/or large domains to analyze and model information and data from computing, technical and business perspectives. Must have knowledge of how domain/enterprise architectures drive and constrain solution architectures. Must possess the ability to advocate and advance the enterprise architecture agenda across the enterprise. Experience and proven ability to interrelate from system architecture, design, build test and deploy the fundamental aspects needed to produce effective computing solutions. Project leadership experience and excellent communication skills are required for this position. Experience evaluating tools and technologies in the data/information domain a plus. Provide Coaching and mentoring to less experienced architects. Experience evaluating Working knowledge of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) is a plus.
