At a high level the successful candidate will support senior level technicians installing, configuring and maintaining the UNIX, Linux, and Windows Server environments. Some of the specific products supported include Sharepoint, Office Communication Server (OCS), Project Server, Exchange, SMTP, Active Directory etc. Under direction from a senior technician the tasks include: 1. Provide Computer Systems Analyst support for UNIX, Linux and Windows servers. 2. Apply security and O/S patches. 3. Install hardware, and configure O/S and system software. 4. Maintain system level security. 5. Maintain system configuration, responsible for any changes to configuration. 6. Troubleshoot system and application problems, and respond to user issues. 7. Develop any required operational procedures. 8. Using automated tools monitor health of systems and provide necessary reporting. 9. Develop required shell vb etc. scripts. 10. Provide other support as requested.
