Combustion Engineer

Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.
Looking for highly responsible and motivated combustion specialist for design and development of gas turbine combustion systems for auxiliary power units and small thrust engines to meet engine performance, durability, exhaust emissions, and noise requirements.
Responsibilities include the design and integration of engine combustion, fuel injection/distribution systems, and bleed air extraction system. Direct and supervise the design of the combustor liners, injectors, test rigs, and related devices. Interface with the fuel system and engine systems group. Define combustor rig test plans, conduct rig testing, and reduce test data. Provide support to development and production engine testing. Manage the combustor development schedule and budget, track and report status in an earned value system.

5+ years experience in design of combustion system or components. Graduate formal training in Thermodynamics, Fluid dynamics and reactive flows, or equivalent experience in the industry.
Must be able to take complete ownership of a project and assume a broad responsibility in combustion system and design integration in a high pressure aerospace environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Knowledge of advanced CFD tools (Fluent) is a plus. Experience in project management is a plus.
