| Description: CIVIL DESIGNERS INTERMEDIATE/SENIOR Our global client is one of the worlds largest, publicly owned EPCM companies. The Role: The Company seeks Intermediate and Senior Civil Designers to join their team in Vancouver. Responsibilities: Prepare layouts and conceptual designs for moderately complex problems Prepare moderately complex design drawings Interface with other design disciplines Become proficient in 2D and 3D CAD capabilities, as required Check moderately complex concrete and steel design drawings Perform squad check of vendor drawings and drawings from other disciplines Review fabricator drawings Assist the Design Supervisor as required Actively participate in the companys knowledge community and other available resources Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals Participate in department training programs/seminars and on-line training The Candidate: Applicants for this role must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting Technology as well as 5 years relevant EPC or EPCM experience in Mining, Oil & Gas, or other heavy industrial industries. Excellent CAD skills are required and a good command of the English language (both written and spoken). CAD training in AutoCAD, Microstation 2D and 3D and Inroads are a definite asset.
