Our Process Technology and Engineering (PTE) Group specializes in providing engineering and technology solutions to our clients. PTE is seeking a full-time Chemical Engineer to work at our Dayton, Ohio location
Position Responsibilities
-Perform shift-engineer duties (second or third shift of three weekday shifts; first or second of two weekend shifts [8 AM - 8 PM or 8 PM - 8 AM]), to control and manage a highly automated high-temperature, high-pressure hydrotreating pilot plant. Assume over half your workload will be involved in shift engineering activities.
-Support the repair and maintenance of the hydrotreating pilot plant.
-Perform process modeling to support process design and scale-up, and to support marketing efforts.
-Generate, capture, analyze, and report defensible technical data in technical reports and proposals.
-Support for the design, testing, and evaluation of new chemical process technologies. This will include specification and selection of appropriate equipment, assembly of process equipment and test fixtures.
-Conduct engineering scale-up from lab- to pilot-scale units
-Give technical briefings to clients or technical societies.
The Following Requirements Must Be Met To Be Considered For This Position:
-B.S. in Chemical Engineering
-2 to 5 years work (or co-op) experience including wet laboratory work
-US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
-Working knowledge of Microsoft office software.
Preferred Qualifications
-M.S. in Chemical Engineering
-Experience with CHEMCAD or other relevant process simulation software
-Experience operating and maintaining high-temperature, high-pressure equipment
-Hydrotreating operational or pilot plant experience
-EIT/PE certification.
