Duties & Responsibilities The Application Engineers at LitePoint are experts in wireless systems and system architecture. We develop new ways of utilizing our test solutions, to support novel test methodologies, helping customers to improve product quality, shorten development cycles, and optimize their production testing. We are on the forefront of wireless technology trends, and drive product development and requirements, and push the technology in customer-like scenarios.
As Application Engineer you work with our Advanced Technology Group and Engineering Team to implement new test methodologies and concepts. Devise new test strategies based on tangible business needs and real-world R&D and manufacturing scenarios.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Develop demos as proof of concept and for sell-in purposes
• Document all new test methodologies from concept to completion and present them to internal teams and to customers
• Write app notes to describe test concepts and solutions
• Demo products and solutions, and hold training for both internal teams and customers
• Partner with sales teams on customer and prospect presentations and be part of the over all sales effort
• Support the field organization in troubleshooting complex customer problems
• Be the test driver for LitePoint’s new cellular products and document and present findings to the greater team via solid processes and communication methods
Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required • PhDEE or MSEE in wireless communication or signal processing • Solid knowledge in the physical layers of Cellular technologies (GSM, WCDMA, CDMA2000, HSPA, LTE) • Good communication skills, both verbally and written, is a must. Ability to present at public events. • Experience in SW development – C/C++, Perl, Python, VB, LabView • Excellent troubleshooting, analysis, and problem solving skills • Great team player • The position involves some domestic and international travel
