Title: CAD Operator 1
Location: Rhode Island-Middletown
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Computer Aided Design (CAD) support in AutoCAD for facility projects in support of NUWCDIVNPT. Task areas include all aspects of the facility design for projects involving properties at the various Naval Undersea Weapons Center installations in Newport, RI. The successful candidate will be responsible to work as part of a team and will receive on-the-job training as part of the initial tasking. Specific tasks include the conceptualization and preparation of drawings for projects including renovation and ic Qualifications:
Successful completion of Computer Aided Design and Drafting courses
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Willingness to apply basic CAD skills to the development to specific drawings
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
General knowledge of building principles, environmental systems, or HVAC
Experience in construction
uccessful completion of architectural or structural technology courses
