Position Summary:
CAD drafting of architectural shop drawings including floor plans, roof plans, elevations, sections and details
3-D modeling of parts and assemblies for fabrication on CNC machinery
Compilation of shop work orders, material lists, packing lists and specifications
Activities:
Organize, schedule and oversee completion of project related drafting and pre-production activities
Work with in-house designers to compile appropriate building plans and details
Work together with consulting engineers to develop and integrate structural details
Work together with outside building contractors to collect and distribute information and coordinate building dimensions and details
Interface with production/shop personnel to facilitate fabrication of buildings per design, plans, details, specification and schedule
Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary design development, product R&D and process improvement efforts
Requirements:
CAD Drafting
Education:
Certificate or Degree in Computer Aided Drafting, Architecture, Engineering or related field
Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience using CAD in an architectural, construction or cabinet shop/woodworking environment
Hands on experience in the field of construction, homebuilding or cabinet/woodworking fabrication
Skills:
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and accurately complete tasks within forecasted timeframes
