Minimum Requirements: Qualifications:
Education: Associates degree in drafting or an engineering discipline.
Experience:
. 12+ years relevant experience with various discipline drawings such as: mechanical, architectural, electrical, P&IDs with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
. Experience with 2009 AutoCAD is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Inventor
. Local candidates preferred-no relocation assistance or per diem
Job Description: URS Corporation is seeking a Cad Coordinator to be based in our Morgantown, WV office. This position will support the NETL URS Engineering team and will be responsible for the operation of the drafting department.
Typical responsibilities include:
. Will supervise other CAD Operators by assigning work tasks and monitoring progress to get desired results
. Work directly with the Engineering Manager to establish and maintain standards and procedures which are most efficient and productive for CAD operations.
. Serve as the Technical Lead & Subject Matter Expert on all drafting standards (ANSI) and CAD systems currently used by URS and DOE (AutoCAD & Inventor)
. Assist Engineers in estimating CAD efforts with respect to work orders, work with the overall Engineering Department schedule to meet project needs.
. Establish project file management procedures for each project and monitor project directories and files to ensure compliance with file placement and naming standards, maintain efficient disk usage, etc.
. Serve as designer/drafter when needed
. Provide valuable input to the Engineering Manager concerning new software products that may add value to current work processes.
