Continuous Improvement Manager
Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.
APS is seeking an experienced, talented and self-motivated continuous improvement leader. Candidate must be capable of translating the vision of APS being an ACE Gold site for business into a cohesive implementation plan that results in building a strong Quality culture across APS sites. The site includes both Manufacturing and Business Process cells. Candidates must have the ability to establish the ACE Operating System in all APS value streams.
Responsibilities will include:
Develop and execute ACE strategy with senior staff and cell leaders to support the achievement of the site business objectives.
Lead through activities such as steering, local training, consultation, and projects as required.
Assure compliance to UTC ACE criteria and UTC ACE assessment checklist. Develop and maintain the site assessment package.
Interface with the HSPS Leadership / ACE office.
The ideal candidate will be able to integrate the ACE Operating System into the daily fabric of the business.
APS includes a site in San Diego CA and a site in Rzeszow, Poland. The position is based in San Diego, CA.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: BS degree required, MS/MA desired
EXPERIENCE: 4 to 7 years of working experience desired
IND. EXP: Aerospace, Space, Defense, Manufacturing, Industrial
This position may require some travel.
Must be U.S. Citizen.

Fluent in ACE Operating System. ACP ACE Associate or equivalent. ACP Practitioner preferred.
Experience in leading cross functional teams in manufacturing and office environments. Proven track record of successful implementation(s).
Demonstrated success in building and managing relationships with others at all levels of the organization.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written) are required.
