Job Description
Provide process/system development and support, under minimal supervision, in one or more of the following technical areas: Wireless security/communication, networks, servers, messaging, database SQL, handheld applications and mentoring. This includes monitoring, testing, deploying, and input to the design of these environments. Assist in the development of system documentation and training materials as well as training processes
Own small size projects, demonstrate strong business knowledge, require limited direction, give moderate guidance to others, handle complex problems, and possess strong knowledge of SDLC.
•Provide proactive support for Renal Handheld Intermec/Cadec hardware solutions in a remote/depot environment.
•Identify, analyze, propose and document appropriate solutions for problems and issues that may impact the operations. Identify and understand broader business impact. Determine solutions and escalate when appropriate
•Gather, understand and document business requirement to support day to day operations, and Value stream mappings. Define, design and document business flows and processes for Renal projects.
•Understand and follow appropriate SDLC (System Development Life Cycle), quality validation processes and application processes.
•Technical support for the Windows Mobile platform. Install, test, and maintain software and hardware components with Windows Server 2008, and handheld technologies.
•Provide support though Soti (Mobile Control) including but not limited to installation, upgrades, data usage/throttling etc around mobile devices and device management.
•Provide on call support as required
•Review maintenance and MSA (Master Service Agreement) and make recommendations.
•Train others as appropriate on specific area of business or systems expertise. Assist in development of training materials and/or conduct training
•Document system/environment changes.
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree preferred or relevant work experience in systems. 5+ years experience in systems support/development applying systems solutions to business requirements. Experience in system testing, problem resolution, and training.
•Strong knowledge and working experience of wireless topology including but not limited to CDMA/GSM, Ethernet, VLAN, DMZ, LAN/WAN, and security encryption.
•Strong organizational skills.
•Familiarity with business process flow and/or entity relationship modeling Six Sigma, Baldridge or Lean.
•Strong communication (verbal/written/listening) skills.
•Ability to work independently and apply good problem-solving techniques.
•Strong skill set amongst the following: C++, Microsoft OS (Server,
•Mobile), SQL database, Encryption, and Antivirus. Certification preferred.
•Extensive knowledge of Operating System environments and Database solutions.
•Excellent judgment and customer interaction skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
