Job Description : JOB DESCRIPTION Performs analysis of new products for storage locations, packaging and location efficiency based on expected sales volumes. Compares current stores/warehousing processes to alternative processes for more effective use of time and warehouse facilities. Develops LOG processes, determines and/or designs storage racks, storage locations, to enhance BPS process and work flow. Works with manufacturing to insure seamless work flow. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES 1. Evaluates the storage location of new products for maximum efficiency within stores/warehouse. 2. Analyzes storage racks for weight constraints and storage capacity requirements. 3. Determines optimal work flow for Milk Run process and times. 4. Evaluates LOG processes for efficiency improvement opportunities. 5. Determines the capacity of stores/warehouse for maximum process flow. 6. Uses methods analysis to determine the layout of a new storage areas and packaging requirements. 7. Serves as a LOG consultant to the manufacturing group. 8. Instruct stores/warehouse associates on existing and new processes and equipment. 9. Evaluates requirements for additional storage/handling equipment. 10. Compiles equipment capability data for revision or addition to LOG equipment listing. 11. Purchases storage racks/packaging for new parts or the institution of a new process. 12. Utilize drawing machines and/or personal computers with AutoCAD to layout stores/warehouse space requirements and optimal positioning of locations 13. Requests quotations for new or modified storage equipment or equipment to be used within stores/warehouse areas. 14. Implements Bosch Production System (BPS) including 5S in support of the BPS team. 15. Implements Productivity and Quality Improvement ideas. 16. Use computer and SAP as necessary to accomplish tasks. 17. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements : JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Experience: Two years of manufacturing work related experience or equivalent.
