AT&T Sr Specialist RAN Engineer- RF III E911- Schaumburg, IL

Wireless RF Compliance/ E911 Engineer who works independently, understands radiofrequency safety/ compliance, understands the TDOA/ AGPS network system and E911 call flows. Analyze requests from RF Engineers and submits necessary work orders for all types of network changes. Analyze E911 performance measurement statistics to develop, recommend, and implement changes to achieve compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Electronic/ Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years in wireless experience, 7 years experience preferred
Must have experience in radiofrequency (RF) safety/ compliance modeling/ calculation and field monitoring experience.
Familiarity with current RF compliance and public safety regulations (OSHA, FCC, FAA, etc.)
Technical knowledge of UMTS and GSM RAN design and performance.
Understanding of FCC rules regarding E911 regulations on phase types and accuracy requirements.
TruePosition Scout Experience with the ability to create the load set file.
Conduct health checks on LMUs and isolate the issue and issue tickets to the appropriate team for resolution.
Submit TCS/Intrado GMLC requests and MSC data fill requests for new site builds, UMTS expansion, and site modifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems for the Call Successfully Routed and Located Success scorecards.
Conduct data integrity checks between many sources of data.
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Ericsson UMTS and GSM RAN Infrastructure experience.
Experience with Nortel and Ericsson MSCs. Able to audit data translations to troubleshoot and identify issues with calls that do not route properly.
Experience with Wireless tools such as Roofview, Google Earth, MapInfo, Business Objects, SQL, and Atoll propagation modeling.
Demonstrated good computer and presentation skills using MS Office products.
Demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
