Performs a variety of duties as a senior individual contributor engineer with strong technical skills. Works independently under general direction on complex system performance, RF design, transmission, equipment, and/or traffic engineering activities. Assists in proposal preparation responses for international or market regulatory bodies and documentation. Provides a high level of technical guidance and technical leadership and training of less experienced engineers. May serve as technical project leader. Develops, and implements complex changes and additions to system.

• Traffic Engineering for San Diego. Assist HQ in the quarterly forecasts and true-ups necessary to maintain capacity.
• Work with HQ to get the carrier adds in IPlan and get TA approval thru fast track and detail design.
• Spectrum management for the market to ensure that the best spectrum is on the best technology and is used efficiently
• Ensure and plan transport according to the forecasts.
• De-grow GSM and harvesting of 2G technology to meet asset efficiency KPIS.
• Assist design team to meet the capacity demand by providing solutions for capacity mitigation.


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of progressive successful development as an engineer.
• Strong knowledge of and the ability to solve complex issues in the areas of RF engineering principles (RF communications theory, design principles, network optimization, propagation modeling and prediction, etc.) and vendor capability assessment, Network architecture (3GPP Air interface, standards, technology and evolution, etc.), Vendor capability assessment and Wireless engineering principles (cell site/tower design, attributes and specifications, and RAN design, spectrum/frequency planning, etc.).
• Fully proficient with Hardware (Cell site equipment layout, network infrastructures), Performance Management (System KPIs and metrics, etc.), and Software (Parameter definition, etc).
