Overview:


Provide systems engineering for Cygnus program, including requirements synthesis and flowdown, verification planning, systems analysis, coordination of design efforts and management of critical metrics. Will include interaction with program, functional and customer leadership.
Job Description:


Under relatively close direction, perform a variety of specific professional engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature. Apply theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to the solution of basic analytical engineering problems. Select and/or modify proven methods, mathematical formula, previous design and test information, handbook data or other available information related to the assignment. Prepare and complete the design of components or portions of moderately complex functional systems working from overall operational, space, functional and similar design requirements. Design and document or select commercially available equipment, coordinate design results with other design groups, evaluate the merits of the design under the direction of more senior engineers and make the changes and compromises indicated. Establish test procedures in accordance with test plans and test requirements.
Qualifications:



Required Qualifications:
Understanding of systems engineering process
Strong oral and written communication skills
Aptitude for understanding system and subsystem interactions
Experience defining requirements and interfaces

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Lidar or RPO systems
Experience developing verification documentation, architecture development,
Masters Degree in Engineering

Required Education/Experience:
A Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics.
