Specific Job Description Perform a wide variety of production assembly, development and repair/refurbishment work on complex assemblies including wire processing, harness/cable assembly, subassembly, rack assembly, gate assembly, drawer assembly, cabinet assembly, chemical, and potting processes. This involves mechanical as well as electrical wiring operations; includes fitting and alignment of parts to dose tolerances using appropriate hand and power tools, including drilling, grinding, sanding, etc., check-in, setup, machine and hand wire wrap, all PWA processes, point to point continuity/wire checking including electrical troubleshooting, inspect and repair same or similar equipment including some mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, wiring design, pull pit equipment operation, pressure vessel operation, rope splicing and termination, hose grinding and swaging, etc.; disassemble and reassemble as necessary. Perform stenciling, masking and surface finishing as required. Work outside as necessary. Move materials manually or by utilizing various material handling equipment devices (i.e., carts, hand trucks, both electric and manual, cranes, air pallets, array and tow cable handling devices, etc., including moving material within as well as outside areas of responsibility and between buildings). Work outside on antennas and in trucks, trailers, etc., when necessary. Instruct/train co-workers in same or lower classifications on process and equipment operation. Work with other functions as required. Create and work in a team environment while implementing Continuous Process Improvement. Be able to give/take work direction to/from team members. Generate assorted aids including development work sheets, and harness board creation. Change Order Clerk activities which include, but not limited to, configuration listings, Drawing Control Revision/ECN updates, Factory Folders, Order Completions and Manufacturing Order Documentation releases. Must work with formal (drawings, schematics, conn diagrams, parts lists) and informal (engineering sketches, notes, diagrams) documentation. Expedite material/assemblies on shop floor.
