Ability to use directives associated with the above systems to perform maintenance as a 7 skill level. Ability to maintain and train in the areas of tool control, technical order, safety and all associated shop equipment required to operate as Repair and Reclamation technician. Desired skills Ability to communicate in Arabic a plus. Teaching experience a plus. Specific Job Description This position is overseas in Baghdad, Iraq. Provides guidance in accomplishing on and off equipment maintenance on aircraft systems and components such as wheel and tire, flight control, and landing gear. Provides guidance in performing heavy airframe maintenance beyond the capability of other maintenance activities. Provides capability for the recovery and reclamation of equipment of damaged or crashed aircraft. Provides guidance in the performance of all phases of the repair and reclamation process for crashed and damaged aircraft utilizing lifting bags, cranes, hoists, slings, forklifts, and other heavy equipment. Advises and participates in the removal. Provides guidance in the accomplishment of organizational and intermediate level maintenance, which involves major repairs, TCTOs, and/or flight controls, and landing gears. Provides guidance in the performance of intermediate maintenance on aircraft wheel and tires. Perform other duties as assigned. Standard Job Description Performs a variety of operations to assemble and make major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. Aligns parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. Performs such minor part-fitting operations as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
