Join our dedicated and talented team of individuals all focused on creating the best products in the marketplace. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Architect, Data Systems in our Glendale, CA offices.

Responsibilities:
• Looking for an experienced, analytically minded Data Expert.
• Responsible for conceptualizing, building, and maintaining large scale data analysis tools and other related projects.
• Build service using Java and related technologies.
• This is a hands on job which will likely include writing jobs for Hadoop, creating interfaces to report data quality metrics, working with state-of-the-art data mining algorithms, generating automated reporting frameworks.
• Skills desired: strong analytical skills, experience with (or willingness to learn) Hadoop, Java, and strong SQL skills.

Qualifications:
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Solid understanding of information retrieval, machine learning, NLP and/or data mining.
• Experience with Hadoop, hive, pig or other grid computing technologies.
• Experience with OO analysis/design concepts.
• Hands on experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Perl, Shell, Lucene, Solr.
• Hands on experience developing data and database applications using Postgres, Oracle, MySQL or other RDBMS.
• Experience identifying and addressing performance and scalability issues.
• Must be self-motivated, have great communication skills, and demonstrate innovative and engineering excellence.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams consisting of representatives from Product, QA and other development groups.
• Directly manage a team of software engineers.

Education:

• BS in Computer Science or related engineering field
