Job Purpose
To provide application assistance and design for HVAC Noise Control to Price Representatives, consultants, design/build contractors, or end users to ensure the proper product selection, and placement of products within a system.
Key Responsibilities
Product Technical Support- Providing customers technical assistance and support for the proper application and selection of Price Silencers, as well as the proper cross-referencing to other competitor’s products.

Design of Noise Control Products and Systems- Working with the Price noise control team, consultants and representatives to provide solutions, design drawings, and specifications based upon acoustical requirements of a system. Periodically designing custom products to achieve acoustical requirements while working with the product manager to assess competitive risk and manufacturing on cost analysis.

Submittal Approval- In addition to communication with the engineer on a project design, the AE will also support the sales team, representatives, and consultants to ensure all products provided meet specified performance goals, accuracy of all documentation, and all parties involved receive the utmost in service and support.

Engineering & Sales Presentations- Provide field and in-house technical presentations and training for representatives, engineers, contractors & architects.

Problem Solving and Decision Making Authority
The AE must make confident and competent decisions to ensure acceptable performance, and assess the technical and commercial risk associated with projects.
Financial and Measurement Data
The AE will work closely with the Product Manager to set and achieve appropriate strategic and financial goals for the division.
Supervision
While the AE has no direct reports, they will provide technical guidance to the Product Support Engineer.
Major Challenges
Time management and providing responses to the field in a timely fashion. A key challenge for the AE is often assessing and determining what design goals are being communicated during the design/bid phase of a project to accurately qualify what solutions are to be included while ensuring the competitive nature of the quotation is not compromised.
Formal Education/Training Required
Technical Degree, Diploma or Certificate. Engineering degree is preferred.
Experience, Key Skills and
Product Knowledge Required
Incumbent should be familiar with the applications of silencers and other noise control solutions. (Design, Performance, Selection, etc.). Experience of 2-3 years with a noise control manufacturer or 3-5 years with a consulting firm.
General manufacturing knowledge of sheet metal products (or that of “like-products") and their associated production processes is of high merit.
Working knowledge of a 3-D drawing program. (Auto Cad or Solid Edge)
Effective communication skills are a necessity.
