Position Purpose: The Application Analyst, Senior designs, develops, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains more complex programming applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. The Applications Analyst, Senior helps define system and application designs and translates them from functional business requirements into technical specifications. The Applications Analyst, Senior will also develop conversion and system implementation plans. The Applications Analyst, Senior remains involved throughout a project's lifecycle with a team of business analyst, system experts and development teams to ensure that project deliverables satisfy the goals and expectations of the business. Primary functions include: * Analyze, design, develop and support various IT shop floor real time applications including machine monitoring, SPC, Engine/Common tracking * Work closely with various business team members and machine tool builders to ensure abilities for these applications to interface ad capture data accurately from various shopfloor control systems. * Ensure the accuracy, availability and integrity of data and systems for these real time applications at various plants * Develops, tests and implements applications utilizing company standard development procedures and techniques that support the requirements defined by users and analysts * Documents systems architect and detail designs as defined by the development methodology * Coordinates tasks with development team and assists with coding * Participates/facilitates design review sessions to seek out alternative solutions and best practices * Analyzes applications and implement improvements to optimize performance * Promotes and develops reusable models for delivery
Basic Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in IT or Computer Science; or 7 years of IT experience * At least 5 years of IT experience
Additional Requirements: * Travel up to 25% * Positive Attitude, Ethics, and International Values which support our company’s values, and a healthy, high performance culture Desired Skills: * Experience implementing IT systems utilizing project management, technical analysis or business anlaysis processes * Familiar with manufacturing shop floor technologies/platforms (JAVA, C++, UNX, MS/Window, MS/SQL server, OPC, J2EE, JSF, ADO, RMI, CVS, ANT, Eclipse, etc.) * High degree of customer consciousness * Effective communication skills * Knowledge of Quality and SPC systems * Excellent planning and organizational skills * Experience integrating data acquisition devices and control systems such as PLC’s, Gages, CMM’s, serial devices with IT shop floor applications * Experience supporting shop floor applications * Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously * Knowledge/experience of SCADA systems * Leadership skills and experience Visit us to discover more about our organization.
