Job Location: Palo Alto, California
Team/Department: Antenna Subsystems Operations - The electrical project engineer (RE) is responsible for leading and coordinating all technical activities on a major satellite antenna subsystem program. The RE is responsible and accountable for ensuring that contract requirements are satisfied while meeting defined schedules and budgets. An antenna related technical background, including design and test is required to ensure technical accuracy of the designs.
Role/Job Responsibilities:
.Accountable for the successful completion and delivery of the antenna subsystem
.Leads and directs teams in the design, development and test activities of antenna subsystems for satellite programs
.Ensures that team members are effectively communicating and facilitates program activities
.Prepares and monitors schedules, budgets and test plans for program hardware and activities
.Develops risk management plans based on technical inputs from team members
.Prepare and present technical reviews to management and customers
.Leads and directs teams in identifying problems and implementing corrective actions
.Ensures that designs meet or exceed customer specifications
.Performs requirements and trade study analysis
.Provides technical interface with customers, external agencies and vendors
.Mentors and trains junior engineers
.Contributes to organizational improvement efforts
Job Qualifications:
.Antenna design and test experience from UHF to Ka-band. Proficiency with industry standard EM CAD tools. Proficient with network and spectrum analyzers, anechoic chambers and NFR
.Experience with antennas operating in a spacecraft environment
.8 years with BSEE degree or equivalent
.Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills
