Title: Antenna Assembler
Location: Utah-Salt Lake City
The Antenna Assembler will have experience in the fabrication of highly complex, proto type system antennas in support of new build and field returns of intelligence, surveillance, and imagery processing high performance data link systems and products for L-3 Communications - the sixth largest defense contractor in the United States.
Education/Experience:
* This position requires a High School Diploma and three plus (3 ) years of assembly experience working with electromechanical and precision electronic equipment.
* The Antenna Assembler will have experience working with engineering specifications from test, drawings, and computer-aided drafting systems.
* Excellent understanding and interpretation of technical and detailed documentation, blue prints, schematics, mechanical drawings, wire tables and diagrams.
* Knowledge of wire connections and soldering techniques
* Mechanical skills and knowledge in drilling, pinning, staking, using calipers, and working to extremely tight tolerances, also experience working with servo drives, slip rings and anti backlash gears.
* Ability to perform in a team environment with good inter-personal skills is necessary with a commitment to the highest quality achievable.
* Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Internet Browsers required
* Military and avionics experience a plus.
Special Requirements:
* Due to the nature of our work this position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense clearance, including COMSEC.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain certifications as required for employment with L-3 Communications.
* Position requires the ability to lift 40 lbs.
* This position may require overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift work. 9/80 work schedule is required until training is completed.
This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicants skills, education and experience.
