Analyst-Network
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
3 years of related project management and financial analysis experience or extensive knowledge and understanding of wireless industry trends and key business drivers.
2 years work experience with database system
Experience in planning, forecasting and financial analysis
Strong problem solving skills
Knowledge of the wireless industry and cellular equipment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word)
Proficient in PeopleSoft Inventory and Fixed Asset Modules
Ability to work under tight deadlines and to manage multiple competing priorities.

Light supervision over work product. Works independently on routine and non-routine research and reporting Network Analyst position is responsible for the accuracy and timely payment of invoices that contribute to Direct Telecom expenses. The Network Analyst maintains accuracy by analyzing, reporting, trending, and auditing invoices from Verizon Wireless suppliers. When discrepancies are found the Network Analyst files disputes with Verizon Wireless suppliers, following through until resolution, and recognizes savings through accurate accounting of Direct Telecom expenses. The Network Analyst partners and interfaces with Area and Region teams including Transport, Budgets, Fixed Assets, Regulatory and Legal to contribute to the containment and efficiency of Network expenditures.
Audit Direct Telecom invoices utilizing industry reference guides (NECA, CCMI), Tariffs, Carrier Contracts, XNG, Bill Trak Pro, Billing Analysis Module, and Rate Management Module. Analyze automated reports and develop custom reports to verify trends and identify discrepancies.
Prepare and Resolve disputes through interaction with internal Verizon Wireless cross-functional teams and Verizon Wireless Suppliers.
Prepare invoices for payment utilizing the Bill Trak Pro System per Verizon Wireless guidelines.
Ensure all ageing issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
Provide accurate accruals and reclass information for month end close in timely manner. Assist the Budgets and Transport teams with compiling detailed variance to budget explanations.
Develop and distribute reports to various groups within the Verizon Wireless Network Team to assist with cost management and budget/forecast preparation.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with Verizon Wireless Telecom Suppliers
Maintain complete files for all Direct Telecom invoices.
Participate in developing best practices as it relates to the analysis and payment of Direct Telecom invoices.
