Air Vehicle Operator (AVO) 2

Responsible for the operations and flight testing of the Bat unmanned aircraft. Plan and execute operations/tests in accordance with DoD, FAA and ICAO procedures, and prepares flight operations/test documentation. Coordinate and assist in the execution of ground and flight operations/test events. Tests aircraft to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability. Prepare and deliver briefings to company, customer, and user staff personnel. Conduct demonstration flights with customers, government officials, or other personnel to exhibit aircraft performance, flying qualities and system capabilities.

Position will require CONUS/OCONUS deployments for a period up to 6 months, as required. US Secret security clearance required.

Tests aircraft to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability. Operates models of test aircraft during engineering flight tests, production acceptance, and flight test support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers. Coordinates flight operations efforts. Approves cockpit configuration. May conduct demonstration flights with customers, government officials, or other personnel aboard to exhibit aircraft performance, flying qualities and system capabilities.


Basic Qualifications:

5 Years with Bachelors in Science; Prefer a commercial pilot with current instrument rating, minimum of 500 hours as pilot in command, and have current FAA Class III medical certificate or better.

Preferred Qualifications:

Military rated flight experience and deployment experience desired. Flight Test experience is also a plus. Active DoD Secret Clearance; TS eligibility. Rail launch, net recovery UAS experience desired.
