Advanced Sustainable Controls Engineer
OSRAM SYLVANIA has an opportunity for a Control Electronics Engineer in its Consumer Lighting Solid State Lighting group (CL SSL).

Senior/Principal level Control Electronics Engineer to design control electronic circuits and systems for LED Lamps. This position will support the Advanced Engineering group within the Consumer Lighting business unit.
The engineering activities include product specification, control platform selection and circuit design, control algorithm definition and code implementation, qualification test and analysis. The focus of this effort is to successfully deliver the performance, quality, and cost targets established by the management.

Requirements:
Minimum requirements are MSEE or BSEE with 5 years relevant experience.
Must have working knowledge of control electronics. Must be able to do board level circuit design, electronics component selection, programmable circuit coding and debugging, circuit board layout, EMI UL and other compliance design. Must be proficient in using oscilloscope and other bench top and portable debug instruments. Must be able to work with small surface mount components.
The ideal candidate shall have demonstrated technical competence in integrated drivers for LED driver development and UL1993 experience and related activities.
Position requires the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary core team environment and global setting comprised of resources from NAFTA, EU, and APAC regions. Strong technical, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
Project management requirements: Lead regular team meetings, Record and administer action items, Control project timelines, Documentation in EDOS, Project management in PM2000
Position level will be determined by candidate's experience and education according to internal guidelines.
